Installing The Plugin
1.) Download the plugin ZIP file from your ImportAzon Member Area
2.) On your WP website, visit the Plugins menu -> Add New submenu
3.) Click the "Upload Plugin" button
4.) Browse for the ImportAzon plugin ZIP file on your drive, and click "Install Now" button
5.) After the plugin is installed, activate the plugin right away.
Plugin Setting Page
After you activate ImportAzon plugin, navigate to the ImportAzon plugin setting page:
On this page you can define some settings to alter how ImportAzon will deliver content from Amazon Products, to your website. You can enter your Amazon Associate ID, select Amazon Associate Program and so on.
After that click the "Save Changes" button.
Amazon to WordPress 1-Click Importer
To start importing Amazon products to your website, scroll down the ImportAzon plugin setting page until you find the "Import Amazon Product" section:
Simply input the ASIN of Amazon product that you want to import, and click the "Import Product Now" button.
Example:
To promote this Coffee Maker product on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/Keurig-K-Mini-Single-Serve-Coffee/dp/B07GV2BHKC/
Then the ASIN of that product is B07GV2BHKC.
So simply input that ASIN, and click the "Import Product Now" button.
IMPORTANT: Make sure the product ASIN is belong to the Amazon Associate Country that you choose on the settings page. So if the product ASIN is B07GV2BHKC as on example above, then make sure you set the Amazon Country to Amazon US.
Once you click the Import button, ImportAzon will attempt to fetch the product information: product title, product description, product price, product images and product features.
Just wait a few seconds, and the product will be imported to your WP Posts/Pages automatically.
Every product that is imported to your website, will be automatically monetized with your Amazon Affiliate tag also.
After the product is imported successfully, visit your Posts menu -> All Posts, or Pages menu -> All Pages.
By default, the content is set to Draft.
So you can edit the Post or Page, maybe to add more content or images!
HINT: Use our Azon A.I. Writer to auto-create review content for the product you want to promote.
Once you are ready to publish the content, click the "Publish" button.
Using A.I. Translation/Rewriter Feature
Starting from ImportAzon version 1.0.8 you can now use A.I. feature to rewrite the product description, or translate it to the language of Amazon Associate Program/Locale that you choose.
To use this feature, visit ImportAzon menu and locate the "Set A.I. Content" option:
Enable that feature and also enter your OpenAI API Key. After that click Save Changes button.
To get your API Key from OpenAI, simply visit this link address:
https://beta.openai.com/account/api-keys/
When this feature is enabled:
a.) If the Amazon Program is set to Amazon US/UK /CA, then ImportAzon will rewrite/paraphrase the product description.
This is a great way to boost your website SEO and avoid having duplicate content issue.
b.) If the Amazon Program is set to Amazon DE, FR, IT, BR, NL or ES, then ImportAzon will translate the product description into that respective language of country that you set.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
- Enabling this feature will make the import process longer, because ImportAzon will make an API request to OpenAI server
- You must have a working API Key from OpenAI to use this A.I. feature, check your API usage and Billing Limit on OpenAI.
Common Plugin Issue & Troubleshooting
The Imported Content Missing Product Description
There are two common issues that may cause it:
1.) The item indeed doesn't has "product description" on the Amazon page.
If that's the case, then the plugin won't be able to fetch any description, because it is not provided. But if the item has Product Description on the Amazon page, you can try to import it once again using the 1-click importer.
2.) The "product description" is available but not provided by Amazon API.
Amazon often doesn't return full information about the item through their API. So even though the item indeed has Product Description on the Amazon page, it may not be included on Amazon API results.
It usually happens on items that have lots of image/videos on their product description section.
Example, the Product Description on this item is only images, not text: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09D345C45/
How to Update the Plugin to Latest Version
1.) Visit your ImportAzon Member page here: https://wpimportazon.com/member/
2.) Download the Latest Version on that page
3.) Go to your WP Admin dashboard, and navigate to Plugins menu -> Add New
4.) Upload the latest version file
5.) When you see a notice "Destination folder already exists", click the "Replace current with uploaded" button
How to Hide the Amazon Product Price
By default, the plugin will add "~" (approximately symbol) in front of the Amazon price text. This is to make sure your affiliate site is compliance with Amazon TOS.
If you prefer to hide the Amazon price text, simply add this CSS code:
.importazon-cta-price (display:none;}
Add that CSS code to your website from Appearance menu -> Customize, and select Custom CSS section. Or add the code anywhere based on your current theme setting that provides Custom CSS option.
The Featured Image Gets Cropped or Distorted
By default, the plugin will set Featured Image to every Post/Content that was imported from Amazon.
How the Featured Image will be cropped, has nothing to do with the plugin, but is set by your WP theme coding. Many themes are hard-cropping WP Featured Image for post thumbnails, homepage thumbnails, etc.
You can check if the theme your website uses, is doing hard-cropping, by looking into your theme's functions.php file.
On your theme's functions.php file, search for these keywords:
add_image_size or set_post_thumbnail_size
If those keywords are followed by a "true" string, then the theme is doing hard-cropping.
Please consult with the creator of the theme your website is using regarding this image cropping.
Remember that Amazon doesn't always provide Product Images with square size (500x500px, 800x800px). Sometimes the product images will be in vertical rectangle size, or horizontal rectangle size.
